If so, he spells his surname Rushant and his formal name is John Charles Rushant. He m. Ella RUTH Williams (deceased) from Great Village, Nova Scotia. Jack is still alive, but had dementia. My connection to Strickland is Frances Harriet, known as Sis, who m. Ambrose Davidge. Ruth's mother, my grandmother, Martha (nee Davidge) Williams was a niece of Ambrose and Sis, who had no children. The Davidge family in Burgeo, NL, was prolific. FYI, my father, Frank Ross Williams was the middle son of Martha (Davidge) and Mervin Cameron Williams. Mervin came from Trenton and they married there (to the best of my knowledge) and the first two children of three were born there: Albert Louis, known as Lou or Lew and my father, Frank. When they moved from Trenton to Great Village, their house (likely living with his parents) was meticulously dismantled with each piece numbered. It was reassembled in Great Village and is still standing and occupied by a descendant of Lou and his wife Susan Belle (Gray). Any connection? I was mystified by messages that I was connected to the Grant and McEvoy families. I have a partial tree Williams/Davidge Tree on Ancestry.
