Born in Lower Debert, Colchester County, he was a son of the late Flemming and Ina (Lightbody) Wilson. He was a retired manager of Crown Life Insurance Co. He lived in Florida and had a summer home in Queensland. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Ashburn Golf Club, the Life Underwriters Association of Canada and Halifax Board of Trade. He is survived by his wife, the former Lina DeWolfe; a daughter, Gail (Mrs Cyril Cooper); two sisters; a brother, James Merle, Pictou; four grandchildren. The body will be cremated. Memorial service will be at a later date. Burial will be in New Glasgow. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Grace Maternity Hospital, neonatal unit. Posted for information only.
