Born in Montreal, Que., he was a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Roy) Turner. He was a member of Christ Church, Dartmouth, and served on the vestry. He was a graduate of Radio College of Canada. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1939 and retired after 25 years of service. He was an employee of Dalhousie University's physics department for 12 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Grace M. Dick; a son; two daughters including Carol E. (Mrs David Byers), New Glasgow; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Christ Church, Dartmouth, Rev. Peter MacDonald officiating. Posted for information only.
