Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late John and Pearl (Anderson) Williams. He resided in Stellarton for the past 13 years, having previously lived in LaSalle, Que. He was employed with Burge-MacCowsham Van Lines for the past six years and was previously employed with Mayflower Moving and Storage for 38 years. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served in the merchant marine. He is survived by his wife, Edna (Briscoe); two sons, William, London, Ont.; J. Bruce, Riverton; a daughter, Lydia, at home; three sisters, Clara Melvin, Grand Bay, N.B.; Jean Clark, Saint John; Shirley (Mrs Edward Thompson), Westfield, N.B.; a step-granddaughter. He was predeceased by three sisters, Eunice, and two in infancy; an infant brother. Funeral was held in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton! , Monday, Feb. 22, Rev. Bruce Morrison officiating. Spring burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow. Posted for information only.
