Born in Granton, he was a son of the late James and Matilda (Smith) Taylor. He lived in Stellarton most of his life. He was a member of Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton. He was a retired coal miner, and an ardent fisherman and hunter. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, the former Bernice Rundle; a daughter, Ruth (Mrs. John Chisholm), Waverley; two grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters. The remains will rest in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, after 7 p.m. today (Saturday), where funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
