Young, 80, of Acadia Ave., Stellarton, died Saturday, July 23 at home. Born in Millsville, Pictou County, he was a son of the late Edward and Lexie (MacKenzie) Young. He was retired from Atlantic Wholesalers Ltd., and was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton. He is survived by his wife, the former Florence Stewart; three sons, Stewart, Irving, both of Stellarton; John, New Glasgow; a sister, Kathryn Snyder, Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Irving; a sister, Jenette; an infant daughter. Funeral was held Monday, July 25 at First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, Rev. Murdo Marple officiating. Burial was in Gladstone Cemetery, Four Mile Brook. Posted for information only.
