Born in Orangeville, Ont., he was a son of the late William and Alice (Evans) Tilsley. He was employed with Trenton Industries and Hawker Siddeley until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the Durham Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Annie May MacKenzie; a daughter, Betty, Saskatoon; four sons, James, Aurora, Ont.; John (Jack), Truro; Robert, Saskatoon; George, Ottawa; a sister, Kathleen Fraser, New Glasgow; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; three nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Margaret; a sister, Olive Porter. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. No flowers by request.
