Mr Monteith was well known, being the builder and owner of some of the largest sailing vessels in the East. His many friends in Victoria will hear with regret the news of his death. Died at Victoria, BC, Sep 10, 1908, Alexander McGregor, a blacksmith, n/o Pictou, NS. Died Oct 27, 1907 at Seattle, WA, USA, Capt Harry P Weaver, master of steamer President, of typhoid fever.
