It was been a struggle to get any information on his family, but little by little I am getting bits and pieces. My Grandfather was brought to Massachusetts from Stellarton NS by his older sister Margaret, at about the age of 5. He was born 5 Nov. 1888, the youngest of 7 children. He was told both his parents were deceased. I now know that his father was still alive and remarried in 1901. After that I cannot find any information on William Wilmoth. I thought I would try a different route, and I am now trying to find out information on my Great Grandfathers (William Wilmoth/Wilmot) 2nd wife, in hopes of finding out when he died, and where he was buried. Her name was Annie Grace, daughter of John Grace & Catherine Holmes. She was a widow listed as Annie Turnbull when she married my gr. grandfather William Wilmot /Wilmoth on April 26, 1901. in New Glasgow. She was 52 at the time of the wedding, living in Stellarton. She was born in Springfield, NS. Although we have never been able to find any record of death for my gr. grandmother Isabella Hyndman, William is listed as a widower living in New Glasgow. (He previously lived in Albion Mines /Stellarton). William Wilmoth was the son of John Wilmot and Jane McLean. To make things even more complicated, within the immediate family, the surname is spelt Wilmot, Wilmoth, Wilmott, Wilmouth, & Wilmont to name the ones I have found to date. I did get a possible lead that Annie Grace Turnbull could have been the wife of William Turnbull of Albion Mines. There is a family listed there in the 1881 census, which includes their children John, James, Catherine, & Mary. I am not sure this is the right Annie Turnbull, but I am hoping someone might recognize this family and possibly has some information to share. Any information would greatly by appreciated.
