Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of Mary (Stewart) Wadden and the late Robert Wadden. He was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, the IOOF Lodge, Glace Bay, and he was also a former president of the Retail Gasoline Dealers Association, Cape Breton branch. He was a retired owner of Wadden and MacKay service station. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Copeland; two sons; three daughters, including Cathy (Mrs Murray Hill), Pictou; two brothers; four sisters; eight grandchildren. Funeral service was Sunday, Apr. 24 in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Rev. David Sutherland officiating. Burial was in Forest Haven Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
