Webb, 83, Linacy, Pictou County, died Saturday, Mar. 5 in Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Five Islands, he was a son of the late Stewart and Carrie Webb. He lived in Linacy for more than 40 years. He was a retired machinist, having worked for Maritime Steel Ltd., New Glasgow. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in the Royal Canadian Navy as chief petty officer. He is survived by four daughters, June (Mrs Buster Mulligan), Ontario; Juanita (Mrs Bud Young), Oshawa; Joy (Mrs Alex Fitzpatrick) and Hazel (Mrs Bill White), both of Thorburn; five sons, Floyd and Bob, both of Thorburn; Bill, Linacy; Ray, Blue Mountain; Gary, New Glasgow; four brothers, Alonzo, Meart and James, all of Economy; Leo, Northwest Territories; several grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Minas, Norman and Owen; three sisters, Elsie, Vera and Carrie. The body has been cremated. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursda! y, Mar. 10 in H.W.
