Born on Big Island she was the former Jessie Helen (Nellie) MacLean, daughter o the late Laughlin and Elizabeth (MacLean) MacLean. She was a member of the Golden Link Rebekah Lodge and the Merigomish United Church. Surviving are two daughters: Anna (Mrs. Hugh Williams) – Welland, Ontario; Isabel (Mrs. Robert C. Jackson) – Plymouth, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The body is at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Merigomish United Church with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Burial in Murray’s Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Merigomish United Church or any charity.
