Dear Jean: You mentioned a Stewart cemetery in Pictou County. My earliest Stewarts are Robert and Margaret Irvine Stewart, parents of William Stewart, my wife's greatgrandfather. William was born in Pictou County and died young in Weaverville, CA. I don't have any information on Robert and Margaret beyond their names (from family records), and don't know if they were born in N. S. or Scotland. They may be the younger couple listed as Robert Stewart in the 1817 census. If they are in the Stewart (or other) cemetery, I would be glad of any information. Peter Fish wtc48@aol.com
Hi Peter The Stone Book shows your Stewart family like this: 1. Robert Stewart (1795-1883) and his wife Margaret Irving (1792-1866), parents of Mary/Charles G./Robert. They are buried in the Durham Cemetery, Pictou County. Regards, Doug. S. WTC48@aol.com wrote: > Dear Jean: > > You mentioned a Stewart cemetery in Pictou County.
