Born in Charlottetown, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Josephine (MacKinnon) Burke. She lived in Stellarton since 1917 and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by a son, Bill, Dartmouth; and two granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, William; a son, Edward; two sisters, Annie and Ellen; five brothers, Francis, Harold, Vernon, Lesley and Joseph. Funeral was Friday, Mar. 18, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Rev. Joe Gillis officiating. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
