Could someone please describe A.F Church maps, Faribault-Fletcher maps? Where are these maps? and also where are property deeds kept for Pictou? thanks Liz of BC

Church maps are really inexpensive to buy, contain a lot if information, and I would highly recommend them. You can even call the folks to order them. Property deeds are kept in the Justice Building in Pictou in the Deeds office. Some original grant documents have been removed to the archives in Halifax. Unfortunately the folks in the Deeds office won't do any searching for you there, but they may recommend a researcher. I'd do a lookup for you but I live about 1,800 km. down the road from Pictou.
