Roy MacLean – 80, of Big Island, Pictou County died Thursday at the Victoria General Hospital – Halifax. Born on Big Island he was the son of the late Laughlin and Elizabeth (MacLean) MacLean. He was a retired farmer and fisherman. He was a member of Merigomish United Church, Norton Lodge IOOF, New Glasgow. Surviving is a sister, Nellie (Mrs. Ewen D. Cameron); two brothers, Fred and John all of Big Island. The body is at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Merigomish United Church. Burial at Murray’s Point Cemetery.
