I had left the idea with my grandmother so that she could try and circulate the concept with a few of her friends. Unfortunately, I don't have any more answers for you. My grandmother only remembers the boys Edward and Frederick Arnold. I suspect that James Carl had already moved away. My grandmother grew up in Moncton and came to Pictou Co. when she was about 17 in the 1930s. She couldn't think of anyone else that might know. The thing is that MacKay is not a common name in their neck of the woods. I'm thinking that she might have been from closer to New Glasgow in Thorburn or Linacy. Did it give Christine's age on the birth certificate? I could try and do some searching for you with that information to find likely candidates. I have access to a fair bit of census information and I could probably take a look in the next week or so. That is if she was born prior to the 1901 census. It's much more difficult otherwise because you would have to try and obtain a birth certificate first. Let me know. Again, my apologies for the long delay. David
