Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late Dave and Emma (Bromley) Smith. A member of All Saints Anglican Church, he was a retired coal miner. He is survived by his second wife, Jean Mallison; a son, three daughters, a brother, nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Isabel Morrison, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 7, in All Saints Anglican Church, New Waterford, Rev. David Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney-Glace Bay Highway. Posted for information only.
