Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Charles and Annie (Sample) Hardy. She is survived by three daughters, Marjorie O'Brien, Hudson, Mass.; Joan Madge, Nepean, Ont.; Madeleine Smart, Dartmouth; two sons, Fraser Parker, Timberlea; Thomas Parker, British Columbia; two brothers, Robert and Albert, both of New Glasgow; three sisters, Anna Mae and Jean, both of New Glasgow; Helen, Halifax; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by two husbands, Thomas Parker, Thomas Shackley; a brother, Ernest; three grandchildren. The body has been cremated. Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn United Church, Dartmouth. Donations may be made to Woodlawn United Memorial Fund or any charity.
