Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Nan (Pearson) MacFarlane. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the CWL. She is survived by her husband, Murray; three daughters, Nancy (Mrs James Riggs), Fort McMurray, Alta.; Verdie (Mrs Everett Brannen) and Nova (Mrs Robert Carrigan), both of New Glasgow; a son, John Douglas, Dartmouth; a sister, Jessie (Mrs Clifford White), Stellarton; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, John. Funeral service was held Tuesday (yesterday) in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Posted for information only.
