Born in Westville, he was a son of the late Alexander and Lottie (MacLean) Stewart. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Westville, and a retired employee of Maritime Steel and Foundry. He lived most of his childhood with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William MacLean. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean Sutherland; a daughter, Lottie, at home; a brother, John, Westville; a foster sister, Beatrice (Mrs. Bernard MacNeil), Westville; three foster brothers, John MacLean, Westville; Percy MacLean, New Glasgow; Sterling, Glace Bay. Funeral services were Sunday, June 5, Rev. James Grant officiating. Burial was in St. Bee's Cemetery, Westville. Donations may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church building fund or Aberdeen Hospital, palliative care unit. Posted for information only.
