Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John Cameron and Florence (MacIsaac) Rose. He was a retired mechanic from Bill O'Farrell's Chev-Olds, a member of Trinity United Church, a former member of New Glasgow fire department, a veteran of the Second World War, having served with the RCENE, and a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 34. He is survived by his wife, the former Veronica Almon; a daughter, Marijane (Mrs Kenneth Smith), New Glasgow; two sons, Barry, Colin, both of New Glasgow; three sisters, Marion (Mrs Clifford MacPherson); Theresa (Mrs Ernest Martin), both of Stellarton; Mrs Isobel MacLaren, New Glasgow; three brothers, John C., Trenton; Alex, Fraser's Mountain; Vernon, Truro; nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Katherine; a brother in infancy. The body has been ! cremated. Memorial service was Tuesday, June 14, Trinity United Church. Burial of ashes in Abercrombie Cemetery. Donations may be made to Aberdeen Hospital ladies auxiliary or the Foundation Fund.
