Steadman, 56, of Little Harbour, King's Head, died Thursday, Nov. 12 at the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Sackville, N.B., he was the son of the late Gray and Katie (Anderson) Steadman. He was a produce manager for Sobeys Stores and an independent storekeeper. Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Fillmore; three sons, Anthony, Edmonton, Alta.; Wendell, Trenton; Jeff, at home; two daughters, Darlene (Mrs Wayne Clements), Truro; Jacqueline (Mrs Fred MacKenzie), New Glasgow and six grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Phyllis (Mrs Leslie MacLean), Halifax; Mrs Shirley Cruickshanks, San Diego, Cal.; and Susan (Mrs Alan Reid), Belleville, Ont. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert and an infant daughter. Funeral service was held Sunday, Nov. 15 in the Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, N.B. Posted for information only.
