Kirk – Thorburn – 66, died Wednesday in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Centre Musquodoboit she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Bernice (Stewart) Muir. She lived in Thorburn more than 40 years. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn and LOBA #07 Thorburn. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; two sons; Robert – Truro; Terrance – Thorburn; two sisters; Edna (Mrs. Kirk Logan) and Mrs. Alice Dean both of Middle Musquodoboit; and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers; Ralph, Albert, and a brother in infancy; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Stewart. The body is at H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn, Rev. John Openshaw officiating. Burial will be in Thorburn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
