    3. I need some help with some descendants of Alexander Munro of Little Caribou Island. 1. His daughter, Jessie, b. 1845, m. 24 Feb 1866 John MacLean, b. 20 Aug 1836 Pictou Island. Jessie died Jul 1918, but need death date for John. Both buried Pictou Island (what cemetery?). Their daughter Mary Belle MacLean b. 17 Nov 1867 Pictou Island, unmarried. Death date and same cemetery? Another daughter, Charlotte, "Lottie", b. 28 Sep 1873, m. Colin MacDonald. Lottie died 1927. A son, Robert MacDonald is buried Greenwood Cemetery, Pictou Landing. Dates? 2. Alexander Munro's 5th daughter, Dolina Munro, b. 17 Oct 1860 (1871 census said 1858), m. 10 Jan 1880, James Johnston. Their daughter, Jessie, b 8 Mar 1883 in Halifax, d. 7 Aug 1957, m. William MacDonald. Some of their descendants were living in Pictou Co. or nearby in the 1960-1970's. If any are still there, I would like to correspond with them to complete my records. They are: 1. Iris Matheson b. 1939, m. Frank MacDonald. Resided Truro. 3 children 2. Billie Matheson, b. 1941. Resided Truro, 2 children. 3. Lyla MacDonald, b. 11 Aug 1914, m. James Robertson, Resided, Caribou. 4. Lyla's 3 children, Joan, b. 1935, m. Alex MacKay; Jamie, b. 1943; Earl, b. 1945. James Johnston held the last 50 acres of Little Caribou Island in the 1880's which was passed down to his grandson, Ian Priest. I understand that by 1971, the Goverment held all of Little Caribou Island. Was it ever developed as a recreational area? Robert
