Born in Pugwash she was the former Vera Jane Pushie. She was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Merigomish. She was a graduate of the Aberdeen Hospital Class of 1923 and a member of the hospital alumni. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce (Mrs. Norval MacDonald); two sons, Walter – New Glasgow; Lyall – Lower Barney’s River; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Wally. The body is at the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral Service will be held today at 2 p.m. in St. Paul’s Church, Merigomish. Burial will be in Murray’s Point Cemetery. Donations may be made to Aberdeen Hospital Alumni.
