Born in Kenzieville, Pictou Co., she was the former Elva Mae Gosbee, the daughter of Violet (Sangster) and the late Harry Gosbee. She was an employed of Seafoods Ltd., Lismore and the provincial department of highways. She was a member of the Piedmont Community Club, and a member of the Christina Fellowship Church. She is survived by her husband, Cyril; three daughters; Christine (Mrs. Garfield Dunn) – Piedmont; Catherine and Audrey both at home; two sons; Allister- White River, Ontario; Wesley at home; five sisters; Barbara (Mrs. Douglas Smith) Mount William; Joan (Mrs. James Stewart) – Telford; Alice (Mrs. Charles Dean) – Rossfield; four brothers; Wesley and Lawson both of Westville; Ward – Kenzieville; Henry – Linacy; seven grandchildren. The body is at the R.H. Porter! Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Christian Fellowship Church, New Glasgow. Spring burial will be in Piedmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
