Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late John William and Lavinah Jane Sutherland. She is survived by her husband, W. Austin Smith; a son, David Austin, Halifax; two daughters, Ann (Smith) Boswick, Halifax; Mary Lynn Hayes, Winnipeg; a sister, Willah (Mrs Boyd Dickie), McPhersons Mills, Pictou County; a granddaughter and five grandsons. The body will be cremated. Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (today) in Snow's Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will take place at a later date. Posted for information only.
