Born in Trenton, he was a son of Frank Sobada and the late Lyda (Mason) Sobada. He lived in Pictou County most of his life. He was a former employee of Hawker Siddeley, and the Town of New Glasgow. He also operated a body shop. He was a member of St. George's Anglican Church. He is survived by his stepmother, Bertha; a brother, Frank, Toronto; a stepbrother, Bob George, Red Deer, Alta.; a stepsister, Muriel Stewart, Drumheller, Alta. Funeral services were Saturday, June 11, in St. George's Anglican Church, Rev. Wilf Wagner officiating. Burial was in Lorne St. Cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity.
