Born in Bramber, he was a son of the late George and Alice (Dimock) Smith. He was a veteran of both world wars. He owned and operated a blacksmith's shop in Scotch Village for a number of years prior to the Second World War after which he worked as an electrician until his retirement. He was a member of Autumn Aires, Aylesford. He is survived by two daughters; three sons, including Richard, Alma; 24 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Victoria Rose; two sisters; a brother. Funeral was Sunday, July 10 in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Rev. Eustace Marshall officiating. Burial was in Aylesford Union Cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity. Posted for information only.
