Born in Providence, R.I., he was a son of the late Abraham and Dora (Berger) Silverman. He had lived in Loch Broom for the past 13 years and was a retired travelling salesman. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Williams; two stepdaughters, Carol, Massachusetts; Julia, North Carolina; two stepsons, John, New Hampshire; Jeffrey, Massachusetts; seven step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Christina Stewart; several sisters and brothers. Graveside service will be Thursday, May 19 at 11 a.m. in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow, Rev.
