Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Esther (Smith) Reid. She worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway in Montreal for many years and was a member of Eastern Temple No. 779, Montreal. She is survived by a son, Sidney, Montreal; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; four brothers, Jim, Oscar, Tom and George; a sister, Libby. Funeral was held at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, Monday, Feb. 22, Rev. Donald Thomas officiating. Spring burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Extended Care Unit, Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital.
