Born in Shelburne, he was a son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Pennington) Spinney. He was a resident of New Glasgow for many years. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served in the Service Corps of the RCAF. He operated the Festival Restaurant in Tatamagouche for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Fraser; two daughters; a stepdaughter; a stepson; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral was held Saturday, May 21 in Sedgewick Presbyterian Church, Tatamagouche, Rev. Rod Lamb officiating. Burial in Lockerby Cemetery, Tatamagouche. Donations may be made to Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Posted for information only.
