Hi folks, I've been asked to let you know about a new Nova Scotia List for Seafarers. People who followed the sea are probably the hardest to track down as their wandering ways seemed to preclude much written documentation. They may have been missed in census taking, maybe didn't own land, etc... unless they were the ship's builder or captain. Hopefully there will be tips and techniques for locating information..... >From the new list owner, David E. Cann....... "Nova Scotia is one of the Maritime Provinces with a long and glorious seafaring tradition. The topic of our list and board is the genealogy of Nova Scotia as it relates to the people who followed the sea, their families, and the ships they sailed on." People can subscribe by sending the usual "subscribe" message to: NOVA-SCOTIA-SEAFARERS-L@ROOTSWEB.COM - for list mode or NOVA-SCOTIA-SEAFARERS-D@ROOTSWEB.COM - for digest mode
