Born in Broadway, Pictou County she was a daughter of the late John and Janet (Robertson) Dewar. Surviving are two daughters; Arolina (Mrs. Freeman Enman) – New Glasgow, and Janet at home; two sons; Frank – New Glasgow; John at home; one sister, Mrs. Bertha White – Jamaica Plains, Massachusetts; 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her husband James Henry Smith is dead. The body is at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Westminster Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Kenzieville Cemetery.
