Hi List in NS & NB in particular, Well, I finally got desperate this week (where there's a will there's a way) and wrote the Chamber of Commerce (Moncton, NB)when I couldn't find help on the internet and I knew in a few short days I would be coming to Canada. They put me in touch with ST. John's Church (previous Presbyterian) which put me in touch with a Tuttle Funeral Home...such nice people in the world!!! WEll, they have for sure found my gggGRandfather James Grant Cameron (1812-1891)in Moncton NB. this week. He is indeed buried there, as the family story goes!!! (but can't find his gravesite). He was born in New Glasgow and lived there til he was paralyzed for 17 years, and moved in with daughter Christiana Cameron (m. Lt. Col. McLelland Moore in Moncton). I will visit Moncton on my way to New Glasgow. We found out this week that James father's middle name was IAN, Donald IAN Cameron. There are so many Donald Camerons in the New Glasgow area, does anyone know of a DONALD *IAN* CAMERON. He was a graduate of Aberdeen U. we are pretty certain. It was said in our family history he opened the "1st Higher School" in HOPEWELL, NOVA SCOTIA. We have not been able to prove this true yet. Is this like the US High School? I know many have been helping find him, but with the middle name it would help narrow the search. If anyone knows of DONALD IAN CAMERON, could you please write me. And in case you see a lady with a super grin on her face, nearly floating down the street with excitement, yes, it's me!-- walking where my ancestors walked!-Cameron, MacKenzie, Sutherland, Fordyce, Fraser, Stewart, Sinclair (St. Clair), Brodie, Macdonald, Moore, McNeill, McInnis, McLeod, MacLean, McHardy, Ross, Rose, Motte, Gunn, Creighton, Ballam, Arundel, Saunders, Haney, Davis, Huntley.
