Born in Fraser's Mountain, Pictou County, he was a son of the late Angus and Annie Sutherland. He graduated from Horton Academy, Wolfville, and in 1924, from Dalhousie University with a doctor of dental surgery degree. He practised in St. Peter's; Westville; Boissevain, Man.; Hantsport; Wolfville and at the Nova Scotia Sanatorium, Kentville. He was a former member of the Masons, IOOF and Wolfville Rotary Club and was a former town councillor in Boissevain and Wolfville. He is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Gray; a son, two grandchildren. Funeral service was held Monday, May 9 in St. Andrew's United Church, Wolfville, Rev. M.R. Cherry officiating. Burial will be in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations may be made to any charity. Posted for information only.
