Born in West Branch, she was a daughter of Blanche (Pushee) MacIntosh and the late James MacIntosh. She taught school in Pictou County for 28 years, retiring from West Pictou District High in June of this year. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn. Surviving besides her mother in Pictou, are three daughters, Nancy, Halifax; Heather and Lynn, both at home; two sons, John, Plainfield; Andrew, at home; a sister, Isabel (Mrs Levi Swantee), Pictou; a brother, John, Lyons Brook; a grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew. Funeral service was held yesterday (Tuesday) in Bethel Presbyterian Church, Rev. Mark MacLennan officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
