Born in Thorburn, he was a son of the late John Hugh and Annie (Ross) MacLeod. He was a retired coal miner, and for a number of years worked with the Department of Highways and Zeller's Ltd., New Glasgow. He was a resident of Thorburn most of his life, living the last 12 years in New Glasgow. He was an adherent of Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn, and last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are several cousins. He was predeceased by twin brothers, Ross and Robert. Funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (today) at H.H. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasogw, Rev. John Openshaw officiating. Burial in Thorburn Cemetery.
