McLean, 89, of 98 Brunswick St., Truro, died Saturday, Feb. 20 in Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax. Born in Londonderry, he was a son of the late Harvey and Fannie (Slack) McLean. He owned and operated McLean's Bakery for more than 34 years. He was a former elder of First United Church and a past noble grand of Phoenix Lodge, No. 50. He was past chief patriarch of Mount Seir, Encampment No. 18, and a retired captain of Canton Fundy, No. 7, patriarch militant, IOOF. He is survived by a daughter; two brothers; a sister, Mrs Lillian Hunter, New Glasgow; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marie Creelman; two brothers in infancy; two sisters. Oddfellows service was held at Mattatall's Funeral Home, Monday, Feb. 22. Funeral service was Tuesday, Feb. 23 in First United Church, Rev. W. Chalmers Hatcher officiating. Spring burial will be in Old Barn Cemetery.
