Hi, Here are two court cases rom the Eastern Chronicle, Nov. 16, 1920 In the County Court on Saturday at Pictou several cases were disposed of before Judge Patterson. The four girls from Westville pleaded guilty to thefts of clothing from New Glasgow stores. Alice Guthro, was given two years' suspended sentence, Christena McDonald, two weeks; Lillian Robicheau five months, and Mary Leonard four months in the County jail. The cases against William Little and Walter Roy, Constables, for assault upon Jas. Cunningham of Westville, were both dismissed. The judge held the constables had a right to take the horse under the bill of sale, over which the row started, and that evidently Cunningham struck the first blow. Cheers, Rick MacNeil
