Born in River John, he was a son of the late Daniel and Laura MacLean. He was a farmer all of his life and an elder of Salem United Church. He was a director of Scotsburn and River John co-operatives for several years. He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Tattrie; five daughters, Lillian Matheson, Delta, B.C.; Marjorie (Mrs. Donald Harris), Kentville; Janet (Mrs. Jack Baillie), Port Hastings; Mary (Mrs. Tom Cail), Fall River; Fern (Mrs Ronald Zinck), New Glasgow; a son, Donald, Louisville; a sister, Margaret Allen, River John; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jean and Myrtle. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday (today) in Salem United Church, Rev. Jeannie Stright officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, River John. Donations may be made to Salem Unite! d Church or Canadian Cancer Society.

Hi Everyone: My husband and myself got word today that the cancer has moved into the lymph nodes. Leonard was told to eat what ever he wished and to enjoy himself. But then he could be still with us this time next year. I work at a Medical Lab. and I know how these things work. Take care.
