Born in College Grant, she was a daughter of the late Roderick and Christine (Stewart) MacPherson. She lived in New Glasgow most of her life and was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow. She is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Gerard Boutilier, at home; a daughter, Debbie Boutilier, New Glasgow; two brothers, Angus, New Glasgow; Roderick, Liverpool; three sisters, Mary (Mrs Jim Chaisson), Pictou; Christine MacDonald, New Glasgow; Margaret (Mrs Joe Damery), Ontario. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Boutilier; an infant son, Alexander; three brothers, Lauchie, Dougald and Duncan; two sisters, Clara and Sadie. Funeral mass was Saturday, Dec. 19 in St. John's Church. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
