I a certain that there are others of you who have had no replies to your postings or requests for lookups in Pictou. Having failed at finding help, what was your next step? I remain quite convinced that William GORDON was born Sept 27, 1828 in Pictou to Alexander Gordon and wife Margaret. I suppose it is possible that the Gordons only lived in Pictou a short time, but believe several of their other children (Janet, John, Eliza, Simeon, Annie Belle) may also have been born there. I also know that William left Pictou at age 16. I am seeking info on who his parents actually were and any info regarding their lives or the time they spent in Pictou. Wish I could afford to come do the research myself, but its a long way from Texas. Would love for someone to respond or help me with this lookup. Many thanks. Sharon L.
