MacMaster, 69, J.J. Carroll House, Antigonish, formerly of Judique, Inverness County, died Monday in St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Judique, he was a son of the late Duncan Archie and Mary Jane (MacEachern) MacMaster. He was a member of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Judique, and was a woodsman most of his life. He is survived by his wife, the former Cecelia Sampson; three daughters: Mary (Mrs. Ernie Mitchell), Goshen; Jane (Mrs. David Sinclair), Antigonish; Bernadette (Mrs. Donald Wiseman), Halifax; a son, John, Antigonish; two stepsons, Neil MacAlpine and Clarence MacAlpine, both of Brampton, Ont.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jane MacDonnell, Sydney. The remains are resting in the Port Hood Community Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew's Church, Judique. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
