Born in Isaac's Harbour she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Effie (O'Hara) Smith. She was a life-long resident of Isaac's Harbour, a member and worthy matron of Pioneer chapter 11, OES. She is survived by her husband, John, Oceanview Manor; a daughter; three sons; two sisters; a brother, Leslie, Stellarton; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers. Funeral was Monday, May 2, Rev. Brian Baxter officiating. Burial was in Isaac's Harbour Cemetery. Donations may be made to Isaac's Harbour United Baptist Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
