MacKay, 95, of Edward Mortimer Place, formerly of Plainfield, died this morning at Edward Mortimer Place. Born in Plainfield, he was a son of the late John D. and Annie (Murray) MacKay. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Scotsburn United Church and a member of the Scotsburn IOOF Lodge. He is survived by a daughter, Lois (Mrs. Fraser MacLean), Braeshore; two sons, John, Riverton; and Dr. Alward MacKay, Charlottetown; three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary MacCara; two brothers, Dr. A. Murray MacKay and Keillor; four sisters, Mary, Katherine, Georgie and Jean. His remains will rest at the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, after 3 p.m., Friday. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Scotsburn United Church. Interment will be in Bethel cemetery.
