I have heard 'by way of the grapevine' that in one of the above-named books a ROBERTS is mentioned as having received a land grant in Bayhead, Colchester County as a reward for serving as a soldier in a war for the British. I would be grateful to anyone who may be able to help me in regards to this. > Kathleen > plister@nbnet.nb.ca > > ______________________________ > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Subject: [PICTOU-L] Re: Obituary-McCulloch-West River > Date: 5 Feb 2002 13:24:09 -0700 > From: jpenrice@aztec-net.com > To: CAN-NS-PICTOU-L@rootsweb.com > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: McCulloch, Simpson > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WOC.2ACE/2717.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Hi Myrtle: > > I have been looking into a McCulloch line in Pictou County. James McCulloch married Mary Simpson in West River, Nova Scotia about 1829. They took up residence in Westchester, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia at the time of their marriage. I am still trying to puzzle out the West River connection. To date, I have not found Charles McCulloch in my research. I wonder if anyone would be able to suggest books with cemetery transcriptions for Pictou County. > > Kindest regards, > > Lori > > ______________________________ > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Subject: [PICTOU-L] The Stone Book > Date: Tue, 5 Feb 2002 18:55:45 -0400 > From: "The Listers" <plister@nbnet.nb.ca> > To: CAN-NS-PICTOU-L@rootsweb.com > > Would anyone know which NS cemetery is listed in Pictou's Stone Book as "PP03"? > Kathleen > plister@nbnet.nb.ca > > ______________________________ > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Subject: [PICTOU-L] Re: Obituary-McCulloch-West River > Date: 5 Feb 2002 15:53:16 -0700 > From: fraserm.conrad@ns.sympatico.ca > To: CAN-NS-PICTOU-L@rootsweb.com > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: McCulloch, Russell,Holman,McFetridge > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WOC.2ACE/2717.1.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Lori-thanks for responding.I will continue to search.I will be in the West River area in the spring.Happy searching-Myrtle > > ______________________________ > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Subject: Re: [PICTOU-L] The Stone Book > Date: Tue, 5 Feb 2002 16:47:39 -0800 > From: "Dorothy Ballard" <dballard@oberon.ark.com> > To: CAN-NS-PICTOU-L@rootsweb.com > > Hi > I believe it is Pictou - Haliburton.
