Born in Goldboro, he was a son of the late Norman and Irene (Fanning) MacMillan. He was a retired carpenter and an active prospector and promoter of the gold mining industry in the Guysborough County area. He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Christena Cameron; a son; three daughters; two stepdaughters, including Jean Jack, New Glasgow; a niece; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son; grandson; two sisters. Funeral was in Isaac's Harbour United Baptist Church, Thursday, July 14, Rev. Brian Baxter officiating. Burial was in Isaac's Harbour Cemetery. Donations may be made to Isaac's Harbour United Baptist Church.
