Born in Belleisle, Annapolis County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Eva (Rafuse) Gesner. She is survived by her husband, George S.; two daughters, Jean and Patricia; three sons, Sterling, Alton and David, all of Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by an infant son, and a daughter. Funeral was held Thursday, Dec. 23 in Snow's Funeral Home, Rev. Owen Dawe officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
